Matt Vasgersian is a sports commentator. He was born September 28, 1967.

MLBEdit

Vasgersian was first a play-by-play announcer for the Milwaukee Brewers in 1997. He later became the play-by-play announcer for the San Deigo Padres in 2002. After the 2008 MLB season, Vasgersian left the Padres and signed with the MLB Network. Vasgersian also commentates MLB and NFL games on Fox Sports at times.

Vasgersian in Video GamesEdit

Vasgersian is the voice of MLB 06: The Show and MLB 07: The Show for PlayStation 2 and PSP. In addition to MLB 06: The Show and MLB 07: The Show, Vasgersian also appeared in several sports titles for the PlayStation 1 in the late 1990s and early 2000s, specifically 989 Sports games. He also was an announcer in MLB 08: The Show, MLB 09: The Show, and MLB 10: The Show for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and PSP.

Vasgersian's Home Run TaglineEdit

Vasgersian usually says "Santa Maria" after a walk off home run. This can be heard in the MLB: The Show series.
